What is Aldactone?
Aldactone is a potassium-sparing diuretic that increases urine production.
It is used for:

High blood pressure (hypertension)

Fluid retention (edema)

Excess fluid in the abdomen (ascites) due to:

Heart failure

Liver cirrhosis

Kidney dysfunction

Primary aldosteronism (a condition caused by excessive secretion of aldosterone, leading to sodium retention and severe potassium loss)

Side Effects of Aldactone
Like all medicines, Aldactone can cause side effects, although not everyone will experience them.
