Telmisartan lowers blood pressure. It is used for high blood pressure.
The effect builds up gradually over 4 to 8 weeks. After that period, it can be measured how much your blood pressure has dropped.
By taking it daily, you reduce the risk of heart and vascular diseases.During the first few weeks, you may feel dizzy when standing up. For this reason, take the medicine in the evening during the first few days while sitting on your bed. That way, you can lie down if you become dizzy.
There are a few important interactions with other medications. Ask your pharmacist whether you can use telmisartan safely with your other medicines, including over-the-counter drugs.
Do not use if you are pregnant.Telmisartan belongs to the group of angiotensin II blockers. It lowers blood pressure.

Blurred vision

Muscle pain, joint pain, and back pain

Skin rash, itching, and hives. If you have psoriasis, symptoms may worsen—consult your doctor if this occurs

Reduced kidney function after prolonged use

Altered liver function and blood disorders. Contact a doctor immediately in case of severe upper abdominal pain, jaundice, unexplained bruising, extreme fatigue, or sore throat with fever and mouth blisters

Hypersensitivity to the medication, which may present as skin rash and itching. It can also cause angioedema: swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat, potentially leading to severe breathing difficulty

A too-strong drop in your blood glucose (a “hypo” or hypoglycemia). Symptoms include hunger, mood swings, confusion, headache, fatigue, dizziness, pale face, blurred vision, trembling, and sweating

Cold hands and feet more quickly than usual, especially in people with Raynaud’s disease, who may notice increased symptoms in their fingers and toes
When to take it:
You may take this medication at any time of the day. Choose a fixed time—preferably in the morning with breakfast—to avoid forgetting a dose.
If you experience dizziness in the beginning, it may be better to take it in the evening before bed.Duration:
